Korn III Cd analysis

Korn III: Remember Who You Are- CD Analysis

  • Carry on from the album advert analysis.
  • The CD of Korn III- Remember Who You Are has an image of a dirt road. The road is very similar to the road that the car is on in the album advert. The CD also has Korn's logo on it, the title of the album and 'Special Edition' on it.

  • The inside of the CD case has pictures (or textures) of the ground, the one on the left has a wet, leafy looking picture, the one in the middle a cracked and dry mud texture and the one on the right is a loose dirt looking ground, but there is a what looks like some sort of industrial object on it. I am unsure of what it is, but I definitely think that it is some kind of tool. Each image is in black and white, which seems to be the running theme at the moment with this CD.

  • On the front of the CD cover, it has a of the girl walking and the car behind her, like in the promotional advert in 'Kerrang!'. It also has Korn's typical font logo in red and white, this is so that people recognise that this album belongs to them and catches the eyes of fans.

  • On the back of the CD case, there is a list of the songs in block white writing, the writing stands out on the black and is easy and clear to see, like it does in the promotional advert in the magazine. The background image is of a dry and loose dirt road, looking like it is in the middle of nowhere, this image is in revert black and white. Underneath the song list, there is a little bit of information about the DVD (which you receive with the special edition of Korn III: Remember Who You Are.) There is also a small logo in red at the bottom that reads 'Roadrunner records', this will be Korn's record company and there are two web addresses for Korn and Roadrunner Records main websites. Lastly, there is a bar code to identify the CD in a shop.

The DVD (special edition CD) has a black and white image of industrial machines, the image looks revert, like the back of the CD cover. The disc has outlines of what I think is industrial machines, again. I think this is some sort of theme, and may be the location of where the photo shoot and perhaps the Remember Who You are video is situated. The DVD, like the CD includes Korn's logo, CD title and 'special edition'.

  • The booklet that comes with the CD the same picture of the girl and the car behind her in black and white. And then Korn's logo and the title of the album. On the back of the booklet, it has an image of an ant hill, as a viewer, you are looking straight down upon this ant hill and there are ants emerging form it. I a, again, unsure as to what this stands for, but perhaps this will be revealed in the video.
