Design Ideas

Font- We were looking for a font that isn't typically used, I decided to look on 'DaFont.com' to find fonts that were made by other people and companies, as they have a variety of different and unusual fonts. Paramore aren't a cliché rock or pop band and in their latest album, they have developed a slight alternative theme and feel to their songs.
• Images- We have not taken any images for the digipak, but we plan to do something similar to what a lot of bands have done, which is taken a photo shoot with the same clothes and theme to the album cover, as like they did in the music video. For example, in the 'Now' video by Paramore, they use paint bombs as the wounds made by other actors and the band have this paint all over them. They use this as their album cover, poster and for one particular t-shirt, but on the shirt , it is just an image of Hayley Williams from behind. She wears a light blue denim jacket and it acid wash on her back, the words 'Grow Up' can be read which, again, can be read back to the album which is the name of one of the songs. She is also wearing this jacket in the Self-Titled album, but you cannot see the back of it to be able to read the words.
• Colour- We chose to have light and colourful scenes, especially the set up scene  with the balloons, because bright colours are lighter and usually relate to happy things and if a person were to watch this back, we would want them to feel happier, rather than watching a video with dark colours. We plan to keep this colourful theme for the digipak and poster, perhaps a dark background with light colours.
• Costume- We wanted to wear  something a little more alternative and slightly punk. The two boys wore something co-ordinated (grey skinny jeans and a shirt or shirt and jumper.) As I am the 'lead singer' I wore something that didn't match with them, but tried something girly or alternative to link with Hayley's style. This made me stand out as the lead singer, just like Hayley does in most of Paramore's video. I think it is very important to stand out as the 'lead singer' because just like Hayley, I will be a style icon to fans. (If we were a real band.)
