Mat Whitecross- Coldplay Music video director.
A short bio:
- Mat Whitecross’s first feature film The Road to Guantanamo, which he co-directed with Michael Winterbottom, won them Best Director at the Berlin Film Festival in 2006.
- He then went on to make music videos for various artists, including Coldplay, The Rolling Stones, Take That and Jay-Z.
My inspiration:
- Mat is known for making many of Coldplay's music videos.
- His videos:
- Paradise, Every tear drop is a waterfall, Violet Hill, Charlie brown, Christmas Lights.
- I have chosen to look into Mat as he is a rather famous and critically acclaimed music video director.
- He has done quite a few Coldplay music videos, and with them being my favourite band I have watched and study much of his work.
- He has won many awards, despite the fact that he hadn't planned on directing music videos.
